Handmade in Dundas, Ontario, Canada
Also known as White Cosmetic Clay, China Clay, White Clay, Chalk, and White Dirt, Kaolin has a variety of uses. Soap makers often use it in shaving and oily skin soaps as it adds slip while being safe and generally non-sensitizing. This superfine soft and gentle clay can also be mixed with water to form gentle facial masks that exfoliate without drying.
It is among the mildest of commonly used clays and is suitable for people with sensitive skin. It helps stimulate circulation to the skin while gently exfoliating and cleansing. It does not draw oils from the skin, so it can be used on dry skin types without negative results.
Scoop a tablespoon or two into a bowl & add water or hydrosol/ floral water by teaspoon & blend into a smooth paste. Spread on face in a thin layer & leave on for just a few minutes. With a warm facecloth or hands, massage water into the mask to gently remove it. Follow with a mild toner & or soothing cream. Take extra caution when using on broken or irritated skin.
